Training your dog

Dog training is perhaps the most important decision you would ever make for your canine friend and yourself. It is an important part of being a responsible dog owner. Training is necessary in order to have good communication, obedience and acceptable behavior from your pet friend. The first and most important step in training your dog is to arm yourself with the right education. You cannot ask him to sit and discuss his behavior, as you would do with an eight-year-old kid. The training should be more like a natural bonding with your pet.

Training a dog involves understanding a dog’s behavior and meeting his needs while using methods that are dog friendly, humane, effective and kind. A dog’s communication is different from ours .We need to recognize that we are taking them from an atmosphere in which their behavior is counter to ours. Dogs tend to have a special love for furniture, comfortable sofas and those fancy beds. This makes keeping them off a real difficult task. A dog’s ability to recognize a command and take the required action does make him more enjoyable and as a result, he becomes more or less a part of your family.

Dogs are man’s best friend and they should feel special. Some dog owners often have more pictures of their canine friend than they do of themselves, family and friends combine. Dogs are very much the same as kids, you need to spoil them occasionally, play with them, give them special attention and most of all, you have to provide them with proper dog training. Many dog owners do not take the necessary steps to arm themselves with the right education to train their dog.
