Teenage parenting

Young parenting is indeed a tough road to take. I personally would not encourage it at all because I believe a person should enjoy their teenage years. It is unfortunate if a person should find themself in this position but with the right support and attitude, young parenting can still be successful. Be prepared to make some tough decisions and be informed of your options though they may not be many .With or without your partner or family, life must still go on.

Teenage parenting is one of the trickiest and most difficult part of parenting mainly because teenagers are hard to reason with……. It takes quite a reasonable amount of skill and patience to communicate with teenagers. Teenage parenting is filled with minefields and pitfalls. Many times a teenage parent might feel that they are alone in this world…..that nobody cares, and the side glances couple with the whispers as they go by, really does not make it any easier.

We are living in a time where kids are pushed to do well in school and achieve, so when parenting a young child becomes part of their new responsibility, teenagers may see themselves as total failures. Remember the world doesn’t stop turning just because you became or are about to be a parenting teenager…… It doesn’t mean you have to give up on school. Education should still be one of your long term goals.

Young parents are often portrayed as immature; having no goals or sense of direction. A young child needs love and special attention. They did not ask to be here so it is important not to let any frustration be taken out on the young child.

Teenage and young adult men may need extra help and moral support in order to fulfill their fatherhood role. You would find that most young men, if assistance is rendered, will do their part to become a successful parent. Public interest in the father’s involvement is on the increase because we all recognize the benefits of a fathers’ contributions to the family. Most of all, young parents should share responsibility and be there to support each other.
